Although A Small Group is currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, we have friends and fellow community members in Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis and many other places. Regardless of your location, we invite you to join us. Please tell us a little about your community (or country, for that matter!).
I am working with the MSOD Alumni from Pepperdine University. I am co-developing a vision of OD as Citizen, a program by which MSOD alumni change the world by using their change skills in their communities. OD as Citizen is a support and resource network for MSOD Alumni to realize change.
What is your work? -- NOTE: all of these Q's may be updated any time and may be as brief or as long as you wish.
My work is to bring OD as Citizen into reality.
What originally brought you to A Small Group? What brought you to this ASG site?
Peter Block.

I met with Peter Block after he worked with our MSOD class in 2003 in Palm Springs, CA. I asked to drive him to the airport afterwards, and was able to discuss several ideas with him. I've been following his work since. His book 'Community' has been a resource for visioning OD as Citizen.
With what organizations or groups do you work today?
MSOD Alumni Board.

My day job is with ACDI/VOCA (www.acdivoca.org), an NGO working in over 40 of the poorest countries to improve livelihoods.
ASG Questions: Select one to answer below, if you like (or pass - that's always ok):
What Possibility is stirring in your heart today?
Your current answer to the selected question (you may update this and other profile items any time):
I can make OD as Citizen a reality. I can coordinate and inspire the MSOD alumni to choose accountability for their individual communities. I can influence the MSOD program to incorporate more about citizenship.
Do you have a suggestion for a great question of your own?
What rule am I hesitating to break?
Anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
In 2003, Peter helped me to affirm my gift of 'bold'. I hold on to that gift in times of self-doubt or difficulties. I celebrate that gift as a central part of who I am.
LAST QUESTION -- First, a closing note: Thank you for your interest in A SMALL GROUP. Membership is free and open. At risk of over simplifying, their goal is to create Global Change Agents. Each year, around 30 people enroll in the program. Thus, we have about 1000 alumni. Despite having attended at different times, individuals within the alumni group typically feel rather connected to the other alumni from a common set of norms, experiences and values.

The alumni host a conference every two years to co… Continue
