In what City & State do you live?
Cincinnati, OH
What is your Neighborhood?
Northside
Although A Small Group is currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, we have friends and fellow community members in Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis and many other places. Regardless of your location, we invite you to join us. Please tell us a little about your community (or country, for that matter!).
I live in Northside which is quite diverse. We have an active community council and a generally progressive mindset. It is a friendly place to live, but unfortunately crime is alive as well. We are an urban community that at one time was a city hub for commerce, and currently features a revitalized, eclectic variety of shops, restaurants and bars.
What is your work? -- NOTE: all of these Q's may be updated any time and may be as brief or as long as you wish.
I am a motivational, inspirational performer. I call myself the Space Painter. Blending storytelling, juggling, and hands-on activities I share presentations for non-profits, schools, congregations, conferences and corporations.
What originally brought you to A Small Group? What brought you to this ASG site?
My family and friends are highly involved and inspired me to join.
With what organizations or groups do you work today?
National Storytellers Network
International Jugglers Association
And about 200 organizations per year that bring me in for an event.
ASG Questions: Select one to answer below, if you like (or pass - that's always ok):
What Possibility is stirring in your heart today?
Your current answer to the selected question (you may update this and other profile items any time):
Although I am a presenter, I have a great love of facilitation. I have never been a performer who primarily wants people to think I am great, rather I want people to think they are great. ASG helps me move toward this opportunity. I want to help more voices to be heard in the room.
Do you have a suggestion for a great question of your own?
What was a time you shivered with excitement?
Anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
My wife, Geralyn, is a handwork teacher, teaching knitting, felting, and cross-stitching. I am a juggler. Together we make a hands-on couple and we offer hands-on workshops to explore relationships.
LAST QUESTION -- First, a closing note: Thank you for your interest in A SMALL GROUP. Membership is free and open. We do, however, review each new member to be sure that the site is not being abused by spam posters. The more complete your profile, the easier it will be to verify. Your membership will be activated as soon as a moderator can review it. THANKS AGAIN! ------ On to the final item: WHAT IS YOUR WEBSITE ADDRESS?

Tom, it took awhile for me to make the connection to you and My Nose Turns Red. My stepdaughter was involved with My Nose Turns Red; her specialties were hoola-hoops and the unicycle. I look forward to sharing this common connection the next time we meet.

Tom, I’m a big fan of your work. In the past, you and I have talked about large scale change initiatives in our region. When I think about those conversations, I think about your work catalyzing the shift from small to large. Big things come from a context of small-slow-cheap… and not from big-fast-expensive. Your work is an important piece in helping us overcome our tendencies for speed, scale and money. Thanks for the work you are doing… Your work brings life to the possibilities conversation. Dan

Tom. Great to see you showing up in these places and spaces. I met you years ago through Old St George, Fountain Square Fools, Friends of the Groom, and know of your work through storyteller associations and the like. I will contact you in a few weeks and tell you more about what I am doing, but for now know that it would be great to share some ideas about what we are doing in our new place in Norwood. Neighborhood coffeehouses and artist and music venues and books and community building events are my stick... more later.
