Although A Small Group is currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, we have friends and fellow community members in Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis and many other places. Regardless of your location, we invite you to join us. Please tell us a little about your community (or country, for that matter!).
I would like to bring ASG thinking and methods to the citizens of Olympia. At times this is a very divided community - "have a lot" and "don't have as much". City council meetings are typical - council members have the microphones, the people stand in line to speak. Etc.
What is your work? -- NOTE: all of these Q's may be updated any time and may be as brief or as long as you wish.
Convening people to do the work that will bring meaningful change. World Cafe conversations to build partnerships between parents and service providers to prevent child abuse and neglect.
What originally brought you to A Small Group? What brought you to this ASG site?
Using Peter's books and materials over the years. My own consulting work.
With what organizations or groups do you work today?
National Alliance of Children's Trust and Prevention Funds; Community Cafe; Thurston County Network; City of Olympia; Healthy Schools Summit conference (Seattle); St Mary's College of California; South Puget Sound Community College.
ASG Questions: Select one to answer below, if you like (or pass - that's always ok):
What is the crossroads at which you find yourself?
Your current answer to the selected question (you may update this and other profile items any time):
The crossroads is a coming decision to put all my energy into the work I love, which means letting go of the day job and the associated security.
Do you have a suggestion for a great question of your own?
We use this one at some Community Cafes: What radical possibilities for change are drawing us to our positive future?
Anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
Graduate of the OSR program at Seattle University. Chair of the alumni association Board. Member of In2:InThinking Network. Member of Pegasus systems thinking community. Gardener. Kayaker. Art of Hosting. Lecturer at St. Mary's College of California (M.A. in Leadership program).

Note: the website address given below is not active yet - couple of weeks!
LAST QUESTION -- First, a closing note: Thank you for your interest in A SMALL GROUP. Membership is free and open. We do, however, review each new member to be sure that the site is not being abused by spam posters. The more complete your profile, the easier it will be to verify. Your membership will be activated as soon as a moderator can review it. THANKS AGAIN! ------ On to the final item: WHAT IS YOUR WEBSITE ADDRESS?
