One and the same

Although A Small Group is currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, we have friends and fellow community members in Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis and many other places. Regardless of your location, we invite you to join us. Please tell us a little about your community (or country, for that matter!).

We have a population of 7500. Tourism is the center of our world and we entertain close to 8 million visitors a year. We have challenges with workforce housing, transportation, seasonal economy. We are blessed with natural beauty, a strong faith community, a great place to raise a family and our residents & visitors remain true to these beliefs.

What is your work? -- NOTE: all of these Q's may be updated any time and may be as brief or as long as you wish.

We own Presleys' Country Jubilee and provide live entertainment to visitors. 220+ shows a year for 43 seasons now. I am also Mayor of Branson, just starting my third year in office.

What originally brought you to A Small Group? What brought you to this ASG site?

I have enjoyed the book Community - The structure of belonging and continue to search for ways to bring our government and citizens together.

What is the crossroads at which you find yourself?

We are rapidly increasing outreach to several segments of our community -Historic Downtown, Neighborhoods, Entertainment industry. How can we, collectively, provide enough guidance for growth, without owning the issues and years of frustration from these many groups?
