Although A Small Group is currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, we have friends and fellow community members in Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis and many other places. Regardless of your location, we invite you to join us. Please tell us a little about your community (or country, for that matter!).: Corvallis is a small, progressive and livable town. We have a health conscious population who support a sustainable way of life. Bike paths are present on all streets, bike parking is required on all newly built buildings, smoking is prohibited from public locations (and has been since the mid-90s.)

What is your work? -- NOTE: all of these Q's may be updated any time and may be as brief or as long as you wish.: I was recently laid off by a multi-national company of 300,000 employees. I had worked there for 13 years and in my profession for 28 years. I am unable to find employment without leaving this community so I've chosen to change careers. I expect to explore a combination of self-employment and teaching at the local university.

What originally brought you to A Small Group? What brought you to this ASG site?: I wanted to learn more about Peter Block's new book. I am currently reading his book on Stewardship and wanted to know more about him. His site led me here.

With what organizations or groups do you work today?: I am actively involved with the local arts center, a cycling club, a men's group and support a variety of nature- and health-oriented organizations.

Your current answer to the selected question (you may update this and other profile items any time):: As mentioned above about my career, I'm coming here because I have had stewardship stirring in my heart and it's resonance is growing. I have become disgruntled with a "think global act for myself" mentality. I have recently found support in my community through my life transition and am searching for a way to not only give back, but to also provide means with meaning as I move forward in my life.
