Profile Information

In what City & State do you live?
Grand Rapids, MI
What is your Neighborhood?
My neighborhood, includes where I live, the Western Part of lower Michigan, the Detroit area, Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH, Indianapolis, IN, and the Landmark Education Community of Graduates.
Although A Small Group is currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, we have friends and fellow community members in Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis and many other places. Regardless of your location, we invite you to join us. Please tell us a little about your community (or country, for that matter!).
Grand Rapids, is what some consider to be the second largest city in the State of Michigan.
What is your work? -- NOTE: all of these Q's may be updated any time and may be as brief or as long as you wish.
I'm currently engaged as the Citizenship Project Director, with a local business called Creative Learning. We are having our first Community Conversations, a series of 3, starting October 5, running every 2 weeks. Our intention is to bring all sorts of people together, to create a new context for community that leaves them inspired, belonging, and perhaps ready to engage together in some action of their own choosing.
What originally brought you to A Small Group? What brought you to this ASG site?
I have read and re-read and studied, Community, the Structure of Belonging, for several months, and have fallen in love with it. When I met the woman I work for, I introduced her to Peter's book, and she loved it, and so now we are creating our own small groups, with me as facilitator.
With what organizations or groups do you work today?
I work with Cathy Albro, of Creative Learning, and I assist with Landmark Education in the Wisdom Course Area, and in the Center's Division as an Introduction Leader.
ASG Questions: Select one to answer below, if you like (or pass - that's always ok):
What is the crossroads at which you find yourself?
Your current answer to the selected question (you may update this and other profile items any time):
At this time of my life, I find myself, qualified to lead new and interesting conversations in communities, and seeking some endorsement or credential that will allow me to provide this service to a greater number of people and/or communities and become my life's work.
Do you have a suggestion for a great question of your own?
What do you like about our small group?
Anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
I'd like to assist, at events where Peter Block is leading the same comversations from Community the Art of Belonging.
