Professionally, I am a food sales broker and marketer. The name of my company, Noumea, is rumored to mean (a rumor begun by my father) "my new way" or "my new life". My goal is to work with and promote businesses and products that provide a social meaning and benefit, while generating sustainable, socially-conscious, profits.

What originally brought you to A Small Group? What brought you to this ASG site?

A conversation with Peter Block brought me to A Small Grop and this particular site.

With what organizations or groups do you work today?

My heart and soul is currently tied up in the product launch of Comfort Care(TM) Foods. (See www.comfort-care-products.com). This product line is designed to support the needs of people going through, and recovering from cancer treatments. Furthermore, the manufacturer, KHI Foods is committed to the local economy, procuring ingredients from area growers, and creating employment opportunities in rural areas. The company also uses North Key Community Center for manual piece work. North Key employes mentally handicapped adults.

What is the crossroads at which you find yourself?

I am passionate about this work. I am blessed to be working for an organization that delivers so many benefits. At the same time, the financial position is precarious. I want to be employing my gifts and my life's energy to create businesses that do good, in addition to doing well. I am concerned about being forced to get a job purely for survival.
